The age of technology has changed the way people communicate today. It seems like everyone has smart phones, I pads, and other devices that they use in order to communicate with each other.
ARE THESE THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAYS TO COMMUNICATE AND DEVELOP REAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEOPLE?
While these methods might be the quick and easy answer to communicate, they might not be the best way in order to really made connections with people and develop true partnerships.
People will tell you that they are to busy or do not have the time to meet one on one with the people they know, and that the electronic means is this best answer.
The real question is whether you are willing to take the time in order to develop a relationship with a person or business that will last a lifetime.
Time management is a tool everyone has to use, and you get to decide how you want to use this tool just like your electronic communication devices. Use it effectively and you will get better results, but use it as an excuse for not meeting people face to face, and the results will be less rewarding.
I believe that people are more important than mechanical devices, but our society has chosen to use these devices more and more as a substitute.
There seems to be more and more companies developing systems for social media than finding ways for people really get to know each other better and develop true relationships.
This has resulted in a society that in many ways is farther apart than being closely connected.
Communication that is face to face and person to person has elements that electronic means will never have.
For many people they say the answer is complicated, but the answer is really simple.
Choose to take the time to meet with that person face to face, and speak to each other and get to know them personally. Put away that cell phone when you are with them and turn if off. Respect their time and yours so you can communicate and know that person better.
The results will be more rewarding and your communication networking with be so much better than by electronic means.
